Fire polished beads are a popular type of glass beads which
were first made 5 centuries ago with the aim of approximating
the appearance of cut gemstones while maintaining the option of
stringing the beads.

Fire polished beads are faceted by a machine then placed in ovens
that have an intense heat and "fires" the facet smooth. The result
is a warm flash on each facet. This process makes each fire
polished beads slightly different in appearance giving each bead
its unique charm.

Colors may vary from dye lot to dye lot and appear darker and
more intense in larger beads.
